During my time at the firm, I worked closely with the two Partners, both of whom have over 35 years of experience in the law, as well as the two Associate Solicitors, in a variety of areas of private practice. I dealt with a wide range of legal matters from initial instruction to the conclusion of the matter, including:
-
Commercial & Property Litigation including Debt Recovery, Contractual Disputes, Landlord and Tenant Disputes, Forfeiture & Possession Proceedings, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Insolvency, Personal Guarantees and Compulsory Purchase Orders.
-
Private Client including Wills, Inheritance Tax and Tax Planning, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Wills and Inheritance Disputes, Probate and Administration of Estates.
-
Residential Conveyancing including Sales, Purchases, Remortgages, Transfers of Equity, Right to Buy, Buy-to-Let and Help-to-Buy transactions.
-
Commercial Property including Disposals, Acquisitions, Leases, Licences, Financing and Development.
I also designed and built a new user-friendly website for the firm out of hours using a flash-based web design platform. The new website included a 'Request a Quotation' feature for residential conveyancing work which I incorporated in order to save fee earner's time, therefore, maximising the profitability of the firm. Once the website was live, I was responsible for updating and maintaining the website and to ensure compliance with regulatory changes, including the SRA's Fee Transparency Rules.
